Where I live it is not quite cool enough to break out the jackets and long sleeves. We usually don’t do that down here until almost Christmas. However I do put up my clothes for the cooler weather because we only need them for a couple of months out of the year. I hate taking out my winter clothes and noticing all of the lint balls on them. So today I am giving you 5 tips to keeping your winter coats and sweaters looking like new while in storage.
Store your coats and warmer clothes in plastic storage boxes. You can even find shallow plastic boxes that fit underneath your bed.
Keep sweater pills, lint and pet hair at bay with a lint brush like the Lilly Brush. This stylish lint brush has special little bristles that easily collects all the stuff that your sweater collects. I received a Lilly Brush to review and it works wonders and it’s cute enough to toss in my purse.
To help keep pests away, toss in a a few moth balls, a fabric softener sheet, lavender or small cedar blocks.
Make sure each item is clean or has been dry cleaned and completely dry before storage.
