T-Mobile is now offering will begin to offer 200mb/month of FREE data on all tablets, including the new iPad Air on its network. If you check the T-Mobile site out today you can already find mobile phones like the HTC One and the LG G2 for $0 down.
On November 1, 2013, when the iPad Air becomes available, T-Mobile will offer the several tablets for $0 down and monthly payments that are spread out over 2 years. They will also include the free monthly data with an active Mobile Internet account. No annual service contract. No overages.
I think this is pretty remarkable on T-Mobiles part. They want to grow their user base that owns tablets and what better way to do that than to offer existing tablet owners to bring their devices over and add them to the T-Mobile network. Or to even capture that new customer who can’t afford the price tag of the iPad or other tablets upfront.
Currently no other wireless carrier except for T-Mobile will offer the free data package.
What do you think about this move by T-Mobile to offer 200mb per month of FREE data and $0 down tablets?
