There are not many games on Facebook that I actually play. In fact the only game I play that is even connected to my Facebook account is BeJewled. I feel most of the other games are pointless and addictive. Then I begin to get a bunch of spam from those who are my friends that play the games. Sometimes they spam my Facebook wall so much I have to delete them from being my friends. So when I heard of a Facebook game that actually did goon online and off, it sparked my interest.
A Better World game of Facebook was created by Toonups. The concept behind the game is to reward players for activities like real world acts of kindness and expressions of gratitude. The game seems to have become popular with women and reached over 120,000 players.
I actually signed up for the game and created me. Yes that is a picture of me. My name on the game is That Tech Chick. Then I ventured around a bit. I put a sofa in my home and visited a friend and gave her a rug. Then I went to the garden. Unfortunately I did not have any seeds yet to plant any plants. Some other community locations you can explore on the game includes:
- Department of Do Good – A place you can share real world good deeds you’ve performed and see what other members of the community have done
- Gratitude Grotto – A charming area where you can reveal what you are thankful for and express your support for messages left by others
- Sanctuary of Hope – A building where you can communicate your hopes and
dreams and send encouragement to other players
- Arcade – A play area with uplifting mini-games to enjoy alone or with friends A new feature is the Better Pets Pet Shop, filled with adorable puppies, cute kittens or even a magical unicorn
